I feel like I went from being a boy to being a man, in some respects, through the help of Dustin Hoffman.

So, from a very young age, my mom tells me that I wanted to be Michael J. Fox. I didn't want to be an actor. I just wanted to be Michael J. Fox for awhile. And then, I realized that he was an actor, so I pursued that.

I like the chance to work on material. Sometimes it helps to not be going into a room cold and to know people.

It's the big question of every TV show, right, where you have these two people who it's clear the world wants to put them together and everyone wants to see them together, but also when you're telling these stories you can't throw these people together immediately.

Film and television was so strange to me because I didn't grow up in the business, I didn't know anything about it.

I ended up doing literally every television show ever made, for at least a day. It was great to see how that worked. That's how I cut my teeth.

I'm really blessed with the people in my life who keep me on track and keep pushing me forward.
