The most precise and thoughtful scholar is limited in what he knows and wrong in some things that he affirms; the most devoted saint is stained with sin and full of error; the bravest heart among us will fail and break; but Christ is altogether lovely, holy, and unfailing.

When you refuse to teach on the radical depravity of men, it is an impossibility that you bring glory to God, His Christ, and His cross, because the cross of Jesus Christ and the glory thereof is most magnified when it's placed in front of the backdrop of our depravity!

Does our Gospel presentation make men excited about what God can do for them on this earth, or about whom God is?

It [salvation] is not this flu shot mentality of an invitation of the Gospel.

The problem is, even when we preach the Gospel correctly, then we go to this thing on how to invite men and it's not biblical or historical. We get them to jump through some evangelical hoops and say, "yes" to the appropriate questions and we pope-ishly announce them to be saved.

[The 4 spiritual laws and sinner's prayer] is not the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that methodology and envangelism has done more to hurt this country than every heresy introduced by every cult combined. Millions of people in this country whose lives have never been changed believed themselves born again because we have so reduced the gospel of Jesus Christ that it means now nothing more than simple decision that will only take five minutes of your time.

Pray for the field. If God calls, then prepare for the field. When it is time, go to the field. A life lost for Christ is a life well spent.
