I think the big danger of madness is not madness itself, but the habit of madness. What I discovered during the time I spent in the asylum is that I could choose madness and spend my whole life without working, doing nothing, pretending to be mad. It was a very strong temptation.

Still, being fragile creatures, humans always try to hide from themselves the certainty that they will die. They do not see that with an awareness of death, they would be able to be even more daring, to go much further in their daily conquests, because then they would have nothing to lose- for death itself is inevitable.

If you never take a risk, you will never know what changes you need to make.

Negative desires can cause no evil if you do not allow yourself to be seduced by them.
