Coaching is preparation.

Starting out as a junior varsity coach in high school you pick up things along the way and put them all together. Something has gotta come out of it. It's basically stuff I picked up from other people.

Sometimes I feel tomorrow is the last. Some days I feel like I can go for years. I think my goal is that I enjoy coaching. I don't think I want to stop working. I think my dad worked in steel work for almost 50 years. The minute you saw him stop working you could see him go apart. I don't want to do that.

Winning takes character. Workers get the most out of themselves. When a body has limited talent, it must muster all its resources of character to overcome adversity.

The quality of the pass leads directly to the quality of the shot

Get the kids to understand that they shouldn't worry about who makes the shot, only whether or not the shot is made

A guy who gives you less than what he has to give is, one, telling you what he thinks of you, and two, telling you what he thinks of himself.
