What I like about the third movie is you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven't seen before. You actually get to see what his vampire capabilities are because there's some great battle sequences. It's my favorite book. Carlisle is holding on to that humanity. He doesn't want to be a vampire.
Peter FacinelliI read the books the day before I had met with the director Catherine Hardwicke. The first I heard of it was my agent called and said, 'Do you want to be in a vampire movie?' and I said 'No.' I thought it was like a zombie, blood-and-guts, vampire movie.
Peter FacinelliEveryone has a different path. I knew no one in the acting industry growing up. I never did a play until college. I was not outspoken when I was younger and I hated being the center of attention. But I had a dream of being an actor. I went to NYU and studied theatre. I learned a craft. And began my career straight out of college.
Peter FacinelliThere was a lot of expectations and pressure on the first one, because the fanbase is pretty big, when we were shooting the movie. I think the whole cast was aware of the responsibility we had to tell Stephanie's (Meyer) story, to try to get it right and take our work seriously.
Peter FacinelliI don't like giving a gift just to cross the person off my list. They don't have to be extravagant or expensive things, they can be simple. Just helping my neighbor hang his lights was a great gift for me to give. He was an older gentleman who was having trouble putting up his lights, and it made me feel good to be able to help him.
