Avoiding pregnancy is not an absolute evil.

Trade unions have been an essential force for social change, without which a semblance of a decent and humane society is impossible under capitalism.

Wine is a sign of happiness, love and plenty, how many of our adolescents and young people sense that these are no longer found in their homes? How many women, sad and lonely, wonder when love left, when it slipped away from their lives? How many elderly people feel left out of family celebrations, cast aside and longing each day for a little love?

Being a Christian is not just about following commandments: it is about letting Christ take possession of our lives and transform them.

It means caring for one another in our families: husbands and wives first protect one another, and then, as parents, they care for their children, and children themselves, in time, protect their parents.

God always forgives, always. But he asks that I forgive. If I don't forgive, in a certain sense I am closing the door to God's forgiveness.

Having faith does not mean having no difficulties, but having the strength to face them, knowing we are not alone.
