Faith never requires us to crucify our minds or deny our senses.

Worship is not simply a feeling that is experienced; it must also involve understanding and the mind.

When God says something, the argument is over.

Fallen man is free to choose what he desires, but because his desires are only wicked he lacks the moral ability to come to Christ. As long as he remains in the flesh, unregenerate, he will never choose Christ. He cannot choose Christ precisely because he cannot act against his own will. His fall is so great that only the effectual grace of God working in his heart can bring him to faith.

We are puzzled and bewildered whenever we see suffering in this world because we have become accustomed to the mercy and the long-suffering of God. Amazing grace is no longer amazing to us.

The gospel of Jesus Christ must be defended in every generation. It is always the center of attack by the forces of evil.

At its root, this is what faith is. It is not believing in God. It's believing God.
