Packing is basically: If you're going on a weekend, then just take what you're really going to wear. And how many times are you going to leave the room? If that makes any sense. Like if you're going to sleep, read, and sit by a fire - chunky knit sweaters, leggings, comfortable boots. But if you're going on like a party weekend, then bring your favorite pieces and make sure you'll wear them.

When you look like you stepped out of a catalog, that's never good. People shouldn't succumb to trend, they should interpret trend.

I'm not trying to set the world on fire; I just want to make really beautiful clothes that women want to wear, can afford, and can really see themselves in.

What happens style wise behind closed doors, in your home, shouldn't be incidental. Home isn't just where you stow your things or sack out for the night. It should be your private escape.

I love Fall Fashion Week because it means lots of layering, long sweaters and vintage coats.

I would wear a turban to Whole Foods.
