Astrology is astronomy brought down to Earth and applied toward the affairs of men.

A scholar is a man with his inconvenience, that, when you ask him his opinion of any matter, he must go home and look up his manuscripts to know.

The most useful man in the most useful world, so long as only commodity was served, would remain unsatisfied. But, as fast as he sees beauty, life acquires a very high value.

It is one of the beautiful compensations in this life that no one can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.
