The ego's phenomenal existence is transcended when you dive into the source from where the `I'-thought rises
Ramana MaharshiThere is no mind to control if you realise the self. The mind having vanished, the self shines forth. In the realised man, the mind may be active or inactive, the self remains for him.
Ramana MaharshiThe "I" thought is said to be the sum total of all thoughts. The source of the "I" thought has to be inquired into.
Ramana MaharshiFrom where does this "I" arise? Seek for it within; it then vanishes. This is the pursuit of wisdom. When the mind unceasingly investigates its own nature, it transpires that there is no such thing as mind. This is the direct path for all. The mind is merely thoughts. Of all thoughts the thought "I" is the root.
