On vague wording of drone strike criteria: โAre you going to just drop a hellfire missile on Jane Fonda? Are you going to drop a missile on Kent State? Thatโs gobbledygook.
Rand PaulIt's a little different when you spend 30 years developing all these companies that we just ask [Donald Trump] to sell them. So I don't think that's a fair request.

You embolden al-Qaida because al-Qaida is on the other side of this war. So, one side wins if you destabilize the other side. So, he will be emboldening al-Qaida and the Islamic rebels. And I'm not so sure they're better than Assad.

Rand PaulMy goodness, what we want in a leader is someone with judgment, not someone who is so reckless as to stand on the stage and say, "Yes, I'm jumping up and down; I'm going to shoot down Russian planes." Russia already flies in that airspace. It may not be something we're in love with the fact that they're there, but they were invited by Iraq and by Syria to fly in that airspace.
