Part One: I do not exist to impress the world. I exist to live my life in a way that will make me happy. Part Two: Everybody else is free to do whatever they feel like doing, for a living. How is it we’re the lucky ones, living a life that the children-we-were took for dreams?

It’s okay is a cosmic truth…It’s okay. If there were nothing here for us to learn, we wouldn’t bother to pay the fare.

That’s what learning is, after all; not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we’ve changed because of it, and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way is winning.

For most gulls it was not flying that matters, but eating. For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight.

With every choice you risk the life you would have had; with every decision, you lose it.

Bad things are not the worst things that can happen to us. Nothing is the worst thing that can happen to us!
