I stand for limited government, fiscal responsibility, personal freedom, personal responsibility, so the Republican Party will support me.

There’s no question that mistakes were made and as CEO, I have to accept responsibility for those mistakes. I was focused on lowering costs and making the hospitals more efficient. I could have had more internal and external controls. I learned hard lessons and I’ve taken that lesson and it’s helped me become a better business person and a better leader.

Set a goal, measure it, change if you need to, keep going after the goal.

I know that you've got to watch how you spend all the dollars. That's not the easiest thing to do. That's not what people think is the most fun thing to do, but it's the right thing to do.

I don't like losing money. I don't go gamble. Because I don't want to lose any money. I didn't grow up with any money and I'm not going to go gamble and lose money.

I try to be respectful of how other people think, I try to listen to what they're saying.

It is not easy to be sure that being yourself is worth the trouble, but [we do know] it is our sacred duty.
