We are stewards of whatever God gives us. This concept of stewardship begins with the recognition that God is the owner of everything and everyone on earth. ... We never actually own anything during our brief stay on earth. God just loans the earth to us while we're here. It was God's property before you arrived, and God will loan it to someone else after you die.

Every time you make a bad choice, it becomes harder to make a good one.

I think everyone does selective reading. Everybody has a filter, and that is real easy for critics to see things from their perspectives, and I'm going, I didn't mean that at all. And believers do the same.

Servants think of ministry as an opportunity, not an obligation. They enjoy helping people, meeting needs, and doing ministry.

There's two kinds of thinking. There is conjunctive thinking and there's disjunctive thinking. Disjunctive thinking says it has to be either/or. Now clearly, there are some either/or's - I either trust Christ or I don't. I'm either pregnant or I'm not. But a lot of thinking in Scripture, when it comes to theology is, in my opinion, conjunctive thinking. It's both/and. I believe that and I believe that.

As a Christian, you can enjoy life because your conscience is clear. You can enjoy life because you are secure within God's love.

If you don't live by priorities, you'll live by pressures. Either you determine what's important in life or other people will determine it for you.
