The search for the purpose of life has puzzled people for thousands of years. That’s because we typically begin at the wrong starting point—ourselves. The more you care about the powerless, the more power you have. The more you serve those with no influence, the more influence God gives you. The more you humble yourself, the more you're honored by others.

Because every day of your life was written on God's calendar before you were born, everything that happens to you has spiritual significance.

We become whatever we are committed to.

The way you think determines the way you feel, and the way you feel determines the way you act.

Forgiveness must be immediate, whether or not a person asks for it. Trust must be rebuilt over time. Trust requires a track record.
