Lust is raw selfishness. It's all about my wants, my needs, my pleasure. Most love songs are actually lust songs.

So when you say who does Christ die for? He died for the church, okay. I don't think God's death on the cross through Christ was a failure, if you are saying that. I do not believe that anybody he intended to die for is failing in that area.

In our competitive world we're taught to never quit trying, never give up, and never give in - so we don't hear much about surrendering. If winning is everything, surrendering is unthinkable. Even Christians would rather talk about winning, succeeding, overcoming, and conquering than yielding, submitting, obeying, and surrendering. But surrendering to God is the heart of worship.

Having authority implies accountability. If you reject the blame for failures under your watch, people reject your leadership.

Every church needs to grow warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through through worship, and larger through evangelism.
