The church must always show compassion, always.

Worship is a powerful witness to unbelievers-if God's presence is felt, and if the message is understandable. God's presence must be sensed in the service. More people are won to Christ by feeling God's presence than by all our apologetic arguments combined. Few people, if any, are converted to Christ on purely intellectual grounds. It is the sense of God's presence that melts the heart and explodes mental barriers.

I forgive. First, because I've been forgiven by God. Second, unforgiveness makes me miserable. And third, I'm going to need more forgiveness in the future. So we don't forgive for their benefit. We actually forgive for ours.

I wish that those who believe in the doctrines of grace would be more gracious. That's all I'd say... I'm an evangelical. I believe the doctrines of grace.

Some opportunities are a calling. Others are a distraction. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Measured against eternity, our time on earth is just a blink of an eye, but the consequences of it will last forever.

When you have a major loss in your life, the first thing you need to do is tell God exactly how you feel.
