I can picture certain things in my mind, while writing the script, but then I can also tell that everyone else might be a little confused about what it's supposed to look like at the end of the day. But it all works out. I find a way.

The funny thing is, I'm so used to not caring what anyone says, good or bad, that unfortunately even when people say good things I wish it made me feel good, but it doesn't.

Growing up as a kid, there were so many people that I disliked, I daydreamed about hurting them. Hell just seemed like a good place for all of them to go. Unfortunately, I don't believe it exists.

[Writing scripts] I'm not looking to jump in and make super mainstream movies. I still like to make movies that I like to see.

I always wonder: the images that hit your brain when you're young are so significant, because there's not that much information in your brain. As you get older, things just bounce off. I can remember these minute details of stupid TV shows from the '70s, and I can't remember a book I read yesterday.

I'm definitely of the mindset of "I wouldn't want to be part of any group that would have me as a member."

When you have too many people and you're trying to satisfy everybody's input, you usually end up with something so incredibly generic that it has no point of view.
