I have never started a poem yet whose end I knew. Writing a poem is discovering.
Oh, come forth into the storm and rout And be my love in the rain.
Like a piece of ice on a hot stove the poem must ride on its own melting.
Poetry is play. I'd even rather have you think of it as a sport. For instance, like football.
