I have often thought that the difference between a cult and a religion is an IRS ruling.

In effect, Gore is unwittingly characterizing a large segment of the US population as the next 'Willie Horton.' This is unfortunate and counterproductive to any dialogue between those who 'believe' and those who don't.

If there were a god, there would be no need for religion. If there were not a god, there would be no need for religion.

Jesus told his followers not to pray in the public square 'as the hypocrites' do, but rather 'enter into thy closet, and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret,' Mr. DeLay not only wants to pray in public, he wants C-SPAN and the nightly news to cover it!
