I just have to believe that with love for our natural heritage and a firm resolve to preserve it with wisdom and care, we can and will give the American land to our children, not impaired, but enhanced. And in doing this, we'll honor the great and loving God who gave us this land in the first place.

For too long, the victims of crime have been the forgotten persons of our criminal justice system.

We've been a free people living under the law, with faith in our Maker and in our future. I've said before that the most sublime picture in American history is of George Washington on his knees in the snow at Valley Forge. That image personifies a people who know that it's not enough to depend on our own courage and goodness; we must also seek help from God, our Father and Preserver.

There are no easy answers' but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.

If it takes a bloodbath now let's get it over with.

Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem. ... Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.
