We in government should learn to look at our country with the eyes of the entrepreneur, seeing possibilities where others see only problems

Freedom and the dignity of the individual have been more available and assured here than in any other place on earth. The price for this freedom at times has been high, but we have never been unwilling to pay the price.

If you owe the bank $10,000 you have a problem. If you owe the bank $10,000,000 they have a problem. After all is said and done, more is said than done. Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.

Our military strength is a prerequisite to peace, but let it be clear we maintain this strength in the hope it will never be used.

A stronger defense is an investment in peace.
