A lot of people disagree with me on this, but the people who want somebody not of Washington, it's serious this time. It's - the disconnect between the Republican Party establishment and the Democrat establishment and the people of this country is longer, broader, wider than I've ever seen it.
Rush LimbaughSo you have the ownership of the Phoenix Suns, the Los Suns, and whoever - "We don't want to offend the portion of our fan base. We want to appear to be politically correct. We want to appear to be all-inclusive" and so forth. Well, fine and dandy, but what happens when that contributes to the overall deterioration of the culture of this society?
Rush LimbaughWashington, DC does not have to live with much of what they produce legislatively for us.
Rush LimbaughMoney is the fuel that makes political victory possible. Sadly, folks, in many cases it's more important than ideas. And this is what turns off so many people to politics.
Rush LimbaughI don't think [Donald] Trump was playing rope-a-dope. He probably said, "Look, I've done these. How many debates did we do in the primaries? I know what's happening."
Rush LimbaughI don't even think people are even making an effort to understand Trump. I'm thinking primarily of Democrats and media here. I think they're so arrogant that they don't look at Trump as anything other than a badly molded piece of clay that has to be fixed and reshaped and reformed. And there isn't any interest whatsoever in actually finding out what the guy is or what makes him tick. The only objective is to shut him down as he ticks now.
