I had dinner in Washington way, way back. This goes back to the nineties. It was the Jockey Club which was the restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, and I can't mention the names, but boy, would I love to. I mean, you know these people. They're Democrats, Democrat campaign chairman, and they're talking about [Jordan] Vernon. They're openly admitting it.

Despite everything, Trump remains what he's always been, an outsider who is completely not just underestimated, but misunderstood by all of those in Washington who are still trying to find a way to plug him into their system, and that's never gonna work out. They're never gonna understand him if that's how they approach it.

We are past opposition. I mean, we've crossed that threshold before [Donald] Trump was inaugurated.

There are a lot of [Donald] Trump people, I mean, Trump, I remember hearing it, some of these rallies that he had talking about a special prosecutor, and his audience was responding wildly positively to it. So we'll see. Look, I do not think that Trump supporters are going to abandon him over this, and I don't think he's gonna lose any of them over this, but I do know a couple people are gonna be livid that it's not gonna happen.

I don't even think people are even making an effort to understand Trump. I'm thinking primarily of Democrats and media here. I think they're so arrogant that they don't look at Trump as anything other than a badly molded piece of clay that has to be fixed and reshaped and reformed. And there isn't any interest whatsoever in actually finding out what the guy is or what makes him tick. The only objective is to shut him down as he ticks now.

I checked the emails the same theme that I could summarize them. "Rush, whatever you're talking about here - [Donald] Trump, you talk about the Republicans, [Barack] Obama and so forth - nothing's gonna change with the media the way it is. And all of it is academic, Rush. You know it".

When I hear Governor Mitt Romney in his speech talk about how the Republican Party must stand for legitimate conservative values. They don't.
