Ace of Spades says that this became clear to him in a revelation one night. He was watching Chris Matthews interview [Barack] Obama, and he didn't get one question! He didn't ask Obama one question about how Obamacare works. Every question was one degree or another: How do you feel about [John] Boehner opposing it? How do you feel about it? What will make you happy? Do you think you can get it? [It] was irrelevant!
Rush LimbaughRemember, folks, every one of these Republicans in Senate sees the world through the eyes of the left. Every one of these Washington people. They don't see it through the prism of their own principles and beliefs. They see the world through the eyes of the left. They see the media criticism that will be forthcoming. They see the newspaper headlines. They see what's gonna be said about them on CNN and New York Times. That's what they see. That's their world.
Rush LimbaughEven CEOs police their own bureaucracy. Trump is not that. He does have more in common with these guys than most elected officials would have, particularly in the Obama administration. Obama didn't have anybody that'd ever worked in the private sector. All they had is a bunch of theoreticians who thought they were smarter than everybody that runs businesses in the private sector. And who knows what kind of pressure was brought to bear. Remember, Obama's agenda was one that was to be governed against the will of the people.
Rush LimbaughThe first mistake in the New York Times is worrying about granting Trump access. They're not "granting" Trump access. Trump is commanding access. Trump is taking access. Trump is dictating the daily narrative.
Rush LimbaughWhen you buy a meal and you pay a fair price for it, are you doing this to ensure that the employees get health care? When you walk into Mickey D's and you buy a Big Mac, do you ask them, "By the way, is this thing costing enough so that you get health care here? By the way, is this Big Mac costing enough so that you get a pension here?" Do you think any of that when you go buy a Big Mac? No. You want it to be as cheap as it can be. That's why you're there.
