There was a time when the United States government earned the trust of its people. There was a time when most people believed that the United States government was protecting them.

Everything [Ted] Cruz was doing was legal, it was aboveboard, but it was portrayed as Cruz is the villain, and here's [Donald] Trump and what he wants and will he get it? "Will he get to 1,237 before the convention? And if he doesn't, will they block him?"

The Republicans didn't get rolled by anybody. Chuck Schumer didn't outsmart Mitch McConnell, and Nancy Pelosi sure as hell did not outsmart Paul Ryan. I don't care what you think of Ryan, he's not an idiot, folks. These people are not dumb. They're not sitting up there thinking, "All we gotta do is be nice to the Democrats and the media."

Donald Trump is great television, just has it. Trump looks good on TV.

The story is whether or not the villains, in the eyes of the media, will win or can be stopped. But when you change the dynamic and make it [Donald] Trump versus Hillary [Clinton]? Well, we already know the media has already once gotten caught up and captured and totally engrossed in the Trump story 'cause they don't know how it's gonna end day to day.

It looks like President Donald Trump is caving on his demand for a measly $1 billion in the budget for his wall on the border with Mexico. The Democrats are threatening a government shutdown. It's the same old same old, and I was hoping that Trump would throw this shutdown thing right back in their face. If they get away with it once, they're just going to keep using it.

I'm like anybody else that's in media. I've got my opinions. I share them. I'm not afraid of them.
