That's what the news is: You turn on the news every night, whatever you watch, and you're expecting to see things that you didn't know happened. And that's not what it is.

State-controlled Associated Press: 'The gross domestic product declines 1% in the second quarter, better than expected.' The bottom line is the economy is still shrinking! It's contracting. There's negative growth. One percent, big whoop, we're supposed to feel happy about this? The only thing that would make me happy about this is if I saw a story that said the government shrunk by 1%. Then we'd be making progress.

We come back to Kate Fagan of ESPN who says we need to reprogram the way we're raising men. You notice we never, ever, nobody ever discusses the possibility that we might need to reprogram the way we raise women. Why? Because that's already perfect.

Liberals are some of the most arrogant, condescending smart alecks, but they're just pure ignorant, and they fit the bill of people who have no love and no respect for the founding of this country.

You're not gonna win every outing. I don't mean game. You're not gonna beat everybody out for the top job. Sometimes you're gonna be the best, but you're not gonna get the gig because there are other factors, people making the decision might like somebody more than they like you. It's vicious. And you have to be totally, singularly focused on yourself. Not in a bad way.

The media tries to destroy Republicans who make little faux pas and they start telling everybody how dumb and stupid or uncaring they are. They're so self-absorbed, so selfish and so forth. With Obama, it's always, "There's nothing to see here, because he's a dream of a guy to begin with" and all that. "He missed the Gulf of Mexico? So what! He thinks there are 57 states? Big deal! At least he's trying; at least he cares," is the way it goes.

I think it's a scary thing for a lot of people to think of the government not being involved in their lives, particularly single women.
