The Democrats can't lose, so they got rid of Bob Torricelli, way beyond when it was permissible. The time for a replacement had passed, but the New Jersey Supreme Court made up of Democrat hacks said, "Hey, if our candidate can't go, sure you can put in a replacement."

The thought that so many people get their news from social media really is scary.

You and I make the mistake of assuming that the Republican Party doesn't like the media. You and I make the mistake of assuming the Republican Party is as suspicious and distrustful of the media as you and I are, but they're not.

The media are used to being able to control the agenda of both their friends and their enemies, their buddies and their opponents, and Trump doesn't play by their rules because Trump is not afraid of them. And Trump knows that he doesn't need them. That's the big equalizer. Unlike most Republicans who think they can't get anywhere without at least some favorable treatment in the media or at least less criticism from the media, Trump doesn't need the media. He's got his Twitter account and he's got his rallies.

The left's propulsion is hate, and they have to have an outlet for the hate. They hate so much. They hate many elements of America. They hate people that don't think the way they do. It's not just that they disagree, they hate, and this energy requires action. People on the right, they don't hate anybody. We want everybody to get along, when you get right down to it. We're Rodney King types, actually.

I'm blessed by God. Cutting edge? I am. I'm leading a movement, leading a broadcast revolution on AM radio. I'm very confident about myself, and I don't mind telling people the things I like about myself. I don't believe in false humility - and, by the way, we in talk radio have this thing called polarization. It's not required that everybody love us.

Health care is very complicated, and the government's had its tentacles woven deeply into this whole charade for over 50 years. But I don't understand why it's this hard that you can't do anything? It's the same thing as, "Well, Rush, you know, once an entitlement's been put into law, Rush, you can't take it away." Yes, you can! It's just you can't have elected people do it thinking they'll get reelected if they do it. But you can do it.
