Hillary [Clinton] had started running a million-dollar ad campaign trying to define [Donald] Trump as temperamentally unfit for the office and intellectually unfit. No experience. It's dangerous to let Trump anywhere near the nuclear codes and the push button and so forth.

The law exists for lots of reasons. In the case of migration, the law exists to maintain the integrity of America. We allow immigrants here, happily so. We don't deny legal immigrants a path to citizenship in this country. But beyond that, since we can't take in everybody, since everybody can't come here, it's physically not possible - well, it is. You know you could put the population of the world inside the state of Texas in 1,500-square-feet homes. I mean, you wouldn't want to, but you could do it.

People are irrelevant. They're as irrelevant as many other prominent leftists are.

Barack Obama believes he has the same kind of connection to the American people that Trump has.

As was demonstrated back in 2012, [Barack] Obama was thought to be in big trouble after that first debate, and he wasn't, was he? That first debate didn't end up hurting Barack Obama at all, did it? I know he had incumbancy on his side, but still. He was horrible that first debate. It didn't matter because there were two more, and there are two more here.

I mean, voters had that kind of faith in Barack Obama and they had that kind of faith in Bill Clinton, but people having it in Donald Trump, since they think Trump is a bumpkin to begin with, that anybody who has blind faith in Trump's got to be an even bigger bumpkin.
