The Republicans don't want Donald Trump to define the Republican Party agenda. They are very loyal. They owe a lot to their donors. The donors hate Trump. The Chamber of Commerce hates Trump. All of these people that the Republicans think they can't get elected without don't like Trump. So it has been a stonewall. This behavior by the House and Senate Republican leadership isn't anything new. All you had to do was to listen what they were saying during the campaign.

Remember, the Democrats want illegal migrants as voters. The Democrats need a permanent underclass. Donald Trump is looking at all of this. Every bit of his agenda as aimed at making America great again. It's not just a slogan with him.

I remained dedicated to my desires, and it's what enabled me to come back after being fired seven or eight times, whatever it was.

To [Democrats], government's everything, controlling it, expanding it is everything. And it's not to us [the Republicans]. So they leave nothing to chance. If you reject them, "Well, screw you." They'll find a way to either bollix up what defeated them or just overwhelm the system with what they want anyway by bullying so many people at so frequent a time that people just give up, say, "All right, all right, okay, I'm tired," and the left gets what they want.

The power of branding, particularly when it comes to automobiles, is overwhelming. You go back to the seventies and eighties with the General Motor situation I was describing? Literally, folks, the Camaro and Firebird were identical cars but you'd so have the Firebird buyers, the Pontiacs, "No way I'm I buying that Camaro!" " It's the same car." "Nooooo, it is not. That is a Chevy and mine is a Pontiac."

The Republican Party has steadfastly sided with its donors and its lobbyists, and this is why we're where we are.

The remarks that [Steven] Lerner gave at Pace University: "'Unions are almost dead. We cannot survive doing what we do but the simple fact of the matter is community organizations are almost dead also. And if you think about what we need to do it may give us some direction which is essentially what the folks that are in charge - the big banks and everything - what they want is stability.'" So we have "'to destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement'".
