I've never really been a conservative. I've never really been a Republican, never been any of that. I've only been in it for me. And proof of that is that I will not denounce Trump.

You and I make the mistake of assuming that the Republican Party doesn't like the media. You and I make the mistake of assuming the Republican Party is as suspicious and distrustful of the media as you and I are, but they're not.

Hillary throws that sexism victim card right down, starts crying, starts talking about how hard it's been. She was raising Chelsea, she was doing her best, and her husband was doing that, and the attacks are so mean and so cruel, the attacks are so vicious. And she hung in there. And then the other thing they do is say she didn't know, she's ignorant, she's not up to speed. I don't know how any of it jibes with the Smartest Woman in the World.

We're not enamored of Trump's braggadocio narcissism. We're not enamored of Trump's lifestyle. None of that. We're just fed up with current Washington leadership. It has failed and it needs to be turned upside down and emptied and re-shaken. And that's what the vast majority of Trump supporters actually believe.

I've always said that people are desperate to find meaning in their lives.

The Electoral College protects state sovereignty. It actually is one of the most brilliantly conceived electoral mechanisms ever.

Everybody wants to matter. And that's the sales pitch. So all you have to do is go out and, you know, buy some new kind of newfangled hybrid car or agree to raise taxes or, if you go to the store, buy everything and anything with a green label on it and you are saving the planet.
