Donald Trump in Philadelphia, and he's delivering a very substantive speech on military preparedness, the status of the current military. He detailed the deterioration of the U.S. military in the past eight years and explained how he's going to rebuild it and why we need to, and it's a very tough audience. It's an expressly military audience, and they are of course listening for any sign that he's not really genuine here. I think, knocking this out of the park as far as that audience is concerned.

Blaming guns for murder is like blaming forks for obesity.

What bothers me is that I don't see the eagerness for a genuine solution to the political people on the opposite side. They want to continue to use the grievance, to use whatever happened hundreds of years ago that did not even happen to them, as a way of expressing how this country is failing or is less than decent and good.

The Democrats really are not interested in keeping guns out of the hands of terrorists. They're interested in keeping you from being able to get guns.

That's what Donald Trump said when he starts talking about, "The Second Amendment people might have..." "You're not taking my guns. No matter who you appoint to the court, you're not taking my guns," is all it means, pure and simple. If everybody could just take a breath here and let's get back to who's really doing damage to our country.

The Keystone pipeline would add to our domestic supply. It would help us with energy independence.

If you believe [Steven Lerner] is being honest about what he believes - and I do - it's a fascinating look into the mind-set of the kook, extremist left in this country who are treated sympathetically by the media. Their causes are all just, and so is the notion that capitalism is unfair and that their money has been stolen from them and that the country is unjust - and they need to, you know, economically hobble it.
