Conservatism, by itself, is not the defeating agent for liberalism today. At one point I was among many who thought it would be. It's too bifurcated. It's too disjointed. It's too fractured, too un-unified, disunified, whatever, to be a formative opposition force. But there are still millions of people that want nothing to do with what liberalism and the Democrats stand for.
Rush LimbaughWhat I meant when I say that the media are bots, I don't want anybody misunderstand this. I'm watching CNN and one of their infobabes is doing this report on Al Franken questioning [Jeff] Sessions during the confirmation hearings. I'm convinced - and they played an edited version of it. It was edited by somebody to make it look like it was something other than what it was, and I'm convinced this infobabe hasn't the slightest clue.
Rush LimbaughThere's a lot of people that don't understand liberalism, there are a lot of people that I think, by definition, still need to be informed and educated that it isn't the soft, loving, compassionate stuff that it's portrayed to be. Trump speaks for himself. Who Trump is and what he's doing is not a mystery to anybody. It's the exact opposite of a mystery. It's in your face.
Rush LimbaughFolks, let me ask you a question about that. You voted in 2010, 2014. You're part of the Tea Party and you show up and you just vote. Republicans said they needed the House, and you gave it to 'em; then they said they needed the Senate, and you gave it to 'em. Do you feel like winners even after those two elections? Probably not, because you really didn't think the Republican Party was going to change their stripes and start acting on all this.
Rush LimbaughOne of the big mysteries for many conservatives for many, many moons - including me - was the existence of liberal Jews who put liberalism before their Judaism.
Rush LimbaughI got an email from somebody who's mad, and from the sound of it it's enough to make this person abandon [Donald] Trump.
Rush LimbaughCommon sense, to me, is simple. And I've never understood why there aren't a lot of people trying to figure out how the United States became this special place and then try to replicate it around the world, because that's the solution to the human condition. The solution to poverty, the solution to misery, the solution to backwards living is the United States of America. Why not learn how that happened, learn why and how we happened. What is it that made it special?
