Donald Trump represents not the lobbyists, not the elected officials, not the establishment types. These are people that have nothing to do with government; they don't work there; they have much taken from them by government. They get very, very little of it back. And that is, I think, a good point in understanding Trump's popularity and who it is that's supporting him.
Rush LimbaughThe American experiment, the United States in the past eight years [2008-2016] was not considered worthy of leading, because we had committed too many transgressions. We didn't have the moral authority to lead anybody because we had too many injustices in our past and too many discriminations and too many thises and thats and so forth. We were not worthy of leading, and we had been leading for too long in all the wrong directions. It was really, I think, despicable.
Rush LimbaughObamacare is his. The stimulus is his. The economy is his. And yet Barack Obama still treats it as though it's being run by others and he's still fighting them and he's running into obstacles.
Rush LimbaughThe whole point of getting control of health is to regulate everybody's life and look at how they decide now whether somebody should get treated or not: age, how sick are you, how much it's going to cost to invest in your recovery and are you going to recover. And when the government is in charge of making those decisions and not you and your doctor.
Rush LimbaughWe haven't had one leak about anything boorish, immature, childish, chaotic, incompetent that Trump has done on Middle East trip. My point is that the Trump on this trip has been seen and shaped as unfiltered. The media has not been able to get themselves between whatever Trump is doing and saying and you. In Washington, it's just the exact opposite. The media is right there, between Trump and you.
