Material possessions and honors of the world do not endure. But your union as wife, husband, and family can. No sacrifice is too great to have the blessings of an eternal marriage. By making and keeping sacred temple covenants, we evidence our love for God, for our companion, and our real regard for our posterity-even those yet unborn. Our family is the focus of our greatest work and joy in this life; so will it be throughout all eternity.

Our busy lives force us to focus on things we do from day to day. But the development of character comes only as we focus on who we really are.

There is no conflict between science and religion. Conflict only arises from an incomplete knowledge of either science or religion, or both.

Men are that they might have joy . . . not guilt trips.

Revelation need not all come at once. It may be incremental. 'Saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more' (2 Nephi 28:30). Patience and perseverance are part of our eternal progression.

Inner peace comes only as we maintain the integrity of truth in all aspects of our lives.

Many religious confessions share common values. They teach that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
