The gatekeepers who are the most progressive activists inspired to make the world better... they're better people, right? They're segregated. It's self segregated in some cases, but there's nobody Black in charge of anything in Hollywood.

I think people instinctively know that their job is to give service and that they are part of a community. It had a great impact on me when my father walked the picket lines and I walked with him during the civil rights movement.

Fortunately, Hollywood is open to change. It's just a question of how to go about doing it.

Hollywood is full of very liberal people, but it still has an infrastructure that needs to be broken.
