I run a lot. I do a lot of yoga. Hot yoga. Which is random and sounds lame, but it has definitely made my flexibility and balance 100 percent better on my skateboard. I do that and a lot of plyometric, biometrics, and surf. I train every other day of the week and skate for an hour everyday.
Ryan ShecklerI really started getting my body ready when I was a freshman in high school. I had just been skating so much, and just started getting so annoyed with leg hair and arm hair, because I was falling so much when I was learning. So I would get scabs on my legs, and the hair would get caught in it. It just became a nuisance. And from that point on, I continued to shave my arms and legs and tried to stay sleek.
Ryan ShecklerI kind of just put my boards together wherever I feel comfortable that day. It could be on the kitchen table, on the ground, on the couch, wherever.
Ryan ShecklerSometimes it gets a little hectic on trips because we're skating all day long, and all you want to do is eat dinner and go to sleep. So sometimes it gets a little long for my liking, but the second I get home, it's straight to the shower to fix it all up, and we're good to go.
