While religious tolerance is surely better than religious war, tolerance is not without its liabilities. Our fear of provoking religious hatred has rendered us incapable of criticizing ideas that are now patently absurd and increasingly maladaptive.

I know of no society in human history that ever suffered because its people became too desirous of evidence in support of their core beliefs.

To treat others ethically is to act out of concern for their happiness and suffering.

Each increment of knowledge imparted in this way is so satisfying-and one's ignorance at every stage so consequential-that the process of learning BJJ can become remarkably addictive. I have never experienced anything quite like it.

It is time we admitted that we are not at war with “terrorism.” We are at war with Islam.

Muslims must learn that if they make belligerent and fanatical claims upon the tolerance of free societies, they will meet the limits of that tolerance.
