What can we do to nurture and support a people capable of living in freedom?

America is looking for answers. She's looking for a new direction; the world is looking for a light. That light can come from America's great North Star; it can come from Alaska.

And Alaska - we're set up, unlike other states in the union, where it's collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs. It's to maximize benefits for Alaskans, not an individual company, not some multinational somewhere, but for Alaskans.

When my own son is going through what he goes through, coming back, I can certainly relate with other families, who kind of fill these ramifications of some PTSD.

There will be that zip-a-dee-doo-dah after the nominee is chosen. I guarantee there will be that enthusiasm. But to be brutally honest, with all due respect to governor Romney, who is obviously the frontrunner... hes not garnering a lot of that enthusiasm right now.

I told the Congress, 'Thanks, but no thanks,' on that Bridge to Nowhere.

Well, I'd rather choose to be beautiful, um, because, to be beautiful it's natural. But being smart you can learn... you can learn, um, a lot of things... a lot of things from the experience... you can learn from a lot of things being smart.
