If you expect to be successful and you expect to raise a family while having a career then you will strive for that; if you strive for it then hopefully you will achieve it. So I think for my own daughter, she's going to grow up with a working mom. One that has had to make some painful choices and face some painful realities.

It's significant that four out of the five nominated comedies were run by women. That's not by accident. Women are storytellers, too. What's particularly exciting is that when it started to change, it changed very quickly, which I think indicates that women have been waiting in the wings for a long time and were ready to take storyteller center stage.

I'm not convinced that Trump's administration is a death knell for feminism. I think it could be the kind of kick in the pants that we need in order to come back together and see ourselves in the same fight.
