One thing we would talk about with my therapist is, "Well, you could feel bad about this, but you don't have to. You could be angry about this situation that you can't control or not." It really helped me with a lot of situations and helped me feel more at peace.

I do think that people have a desire to talk about issues they may have wanted to avoid before. I've never had so many random conversations with people where they're so ready to talk about race, gender, sexual identity, or things that are happening in politics.

Now people are really inspired to do a lot, and the fire got lit under our asses to be more politically aware and be more politically involved in our community and pay more attention to what's going on.
