I have been the subject of ridicule. People talk about me and they don't know me and this is an opportunity to tell my story ... to have my voice and to set the record straight.

I was able to get a few words out that Scott Peterson was the Scott Peterson that had a missing, pregnant wife and ... I just shook. They said I was there probably like an hour and it just seemed like a moment ... I couldn't stop shaking. So I was, I guess, in shock.

Scott Peterson was a pathological liar to me - nothing he said was the truth.

I owe it to my children to secure their future.

We really didn't talk a whole lot about relationships. I believe I asked if he had ever been married, and he said no.

When you're caught up in the storm or, you know, just the turmoil of everything that there is another side and you do get through it. And you know, just standing by the truth and doing the right thing.

In the end, it all comes to choices to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
