On played the Mayor's daughters in Horton Hears a Who: I had never done animation, so I thought it would be cool to try something different.

I wanted to be like my friends. I hung out with girls who had blue eyes and blond hair and I thought, "I want to look like them!"

She was really strong around me. Having me at 16 had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me, had three jobs, supported me, sacrificed her life for me.

I love the scrapbooks, I have a shelf of scrapbooks fans give me - they're so sweet, so detailed!

I've very emotional. When I went through my first breakup, I thought it was the end of the world, and I thought I was going to die if I didn't have him in my life. It was good to cry it out, and just scream, or call my friends in the middle of the night crying.

I don't think it was me getting rid of any sort of imageI do specific things in my career that are tailored for a specific audience. Obviously I have a younger generation that looks at me - and I really appreciate that. And I just did an animated movie, so I want to respect that and still do things that will earn me that respect. But I also want to do things that challenge me and put me out of my element.
