I just could never have imagined that I would be mentioned with Chris Evert or with Martina Navratilova, because I was just a kid with a dream and a racquet. Living in Compton, you know, this never happened before.

If anything, we haven't changed much since we [with Venuse Williams] were kids. We really are the same people.

I've almost lost several times but come through that. Being able to play your way through the tournament is really able to help.

I was having an out-of-body experience, it was so hot. I felt I was watching someone play in a blue dress, and it wasn't me.

When I'm 32? Hopefully I'll have made my mark with a few different movies, some scary ones and some comedies. I'm really funny, I have a great personality on the camera.

I meet people who say, "Girl, I watch every match, and I pray for you." I feel that energy and those prayers. Sometimes when I'm down on the court, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking, "They want me to win. Is there anything else I can give?" It encourages me to do better, to fight harder.

I love going shopping.
