When I was 13 and 14, there were a lot of jokes about my bar mitzvah and my grandparents, and then when I got older, it became more about touching boobs and trying to get liquor, you know? I kind of ran the gamut of infantile behavior... And I haven't moved one step forward since.

I'm intimidated anytime I work with someone who's directly outside my very insulated group of friends.

People constantly make pop-culture references. That's why it's called popular culture, because people are aware of it and reference it constantly.

Basically, we [me and Evan Goldberg] started thinking about making a movie that was kind of a weed movie and action movie and had a real kind of friendship story to it, then that would be our favorite movie [Pineapple Express] ever.

To me it's a mystery that you can show the horrific things in the movies, but not some sexual stuff which everyone does.

My characters come from a good place.

When we grew up in Vancouver our friends were - I don't know if I'd say callous, but we had a very, you know, harsh relationship with one another; we'd constantly make fun of each other.
