Who knows where I would be if I didn't come to L.A. I probably would have been locked up or dead.

Don't ever be someone you're not. We are all that we are, so why try to change that?

If Thirty Seconds to Mars was a human being then he fans would be the veins and the band would be the heart. The fans are what connect the essence of the music around the world and keep the us alive.

I think I feel the most comfortable being insane.

The fans - the Echelon - send in their pictures and they've been wrapped around my kit, as a kind of a thank you. The Echelon's commitment, loyalty, creativity and ability to express who they really are, consistently inspires me.
