I come to every case with an open mind. Every case is new to me.

Some people choose not to engage the battle and then don't seek out that kind of success. And others do.

Same way I have my entire life. Keep my family and friends close. My Latino friends close. I visit the island [Puerto Rico] as often as I humanly can.

Success is its own reward, but failure is a great teacher too, and not to be feared.

I want to state upfront, unequivocally and without doubt: I do not believe that any racial, ethnic or gender group has an advantage in sound judging. I do believe that every person has an equal opportunity to be a good and wise judge, regardless of their background or life experiences.

I am growing to love DC. But the core of Sonia is a New Yorker.
