It's a very weird thing to know where you want to be in life and all of a sudden to actually have taken some real steps is a very strange feeling. I've really done something that I'm proud of.

Acting has been my passion from the minute I started. I was pretty young when I wanted to be a doctor, but when I started doing theater work as a freshman in high school, the first time I hit the stage I was like, If I can do this every day, life won't get any better!

In the initial season of a show, you're figuring out your character and their life and their background and you're putting together all the chapters of the book.

People just deserve to be treated with kindness.

To be happy, it first takes being comfortable being in your own shoes. The rest can work up from there. The hardest situation to stay happy, I think, is when you're trying to find love, and yourself at the same time. It just doesn't seem to fit well. So I believe that happiness is being able to wake up and just know that this is what you wanted, and not what somebody else wanted.

Brooke and I share some similarities. We're both passionate, fiercely loyal people. But she is far more outlandish than I'd ever be, particularly with her body and her sexuality. Brooke has made herself weak for men - she only gained self-confidence from their attention.

Because I'm 5'4' and athletically built, if I gain five pounds it looks like a lot.
