I'm doing lots of interviews and stuff. I'm longing for the days of getting up, not having to put on makeup and do my hair and just going to the studio.

Prince would have been the person I thought would live forever because of the way he took care of himself - not counting the fact he jumped off risers in 6-inch heels. He probably had fractures from his feet all the way up to his head.

I look around at all the girl singers, and I think they're all my children... and they're all going to do this... And, yes, maybe I inspired them because I did get through a lot, and I did have the same problems that they're going to have. You do have to give up a lot for it.

What has Rock and Roll ever done for us? Everything.

I remember once Prince dropped by to see me when I was in Minneapolis and I was sick, with a bag of cough drops and a spoon of cough medicine. I said to him, "Hey, can I have another spoon of that? It's just over the counter," and he'd go, "No, I didn't come here to start up new drug addictions for you." And I was like, "C'mon, give me that bottle!" He was very watchful over me.

Timeless is the creature who is wise. And timeless is the prisoner in disguise.

We don't need to have somebody that's gonna make sure they pay for our market bills. It's like we have only one reason to love and that is for the real idea of love.
