The Absolute God of the universe, the creator, preserver, and destroyer of the universe, is impersonal principle.

There is really no difference between matter, mind and Spirit. They are only different phases of experiencing the One.

Whatever is weak, avoid! It is death.

I want to start two institutions, one in Madras and one in Calcutta, to carry out my plan; and that plan briefly is to bring the Vedantic ideals into the everyday practical life of the saint or the sinner, of the sage or the ignoramus, of the Brahmin or the Pariah.

Condemn none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way.

Work and worship are necessary to take away the veil, to lift off the bondage and illusion.

Only by practice and non-attachment can we conquer mind.
